So, ladies. Hear me out. You gals posess within you a great power I feel you do not realize that you even wield. The power to pull and tug at the heart strings of poor unsuspecting little gentlemen.
Girls and guys are so different in so many ways. Here's one big one. Girls like guys, just after they've had a chance to develop a crush. Guys like girls, well, pretty much immediately. If I walk up and tell a girl I like her, if she didn't already like me first, I don't stand a chance in h-e-double hockey sticks of ever making it out of her "friend zone". However! If a certain young lady were to walk up to me and say, "Donald, I like you", that my friends is a different story.
Guys have the capacity to like and crush much faster than girls. Ladies, I don't know why you guys are so slow, but dog gone it, pick up the pace! So, my suggestion is this. Girls, if you like a guy, tell him! If he didn't like you before there's a pretty good chance he will now. You know how bad guys are at asking for directions, we need you to give us a little guidance. Point us in the right direction, namely at you, and we'll be ready and waiting to live happily ever after.

Donald,
I don't think you are completely right here. If a guy came up and told a girl that he liked her and she didn't before, it might change her mind. She may just have been looking at someone else before noticing the other guy.
But I do have to agree with you on your other point. If a girl tells a guy that she likes him, something happens instantly. That is how I got my first date with my boyfriend :)
I agree one hundred percent. I didn't come to realize this till YEARS too late but yeah... time and time again I pulled that "I like you" right off the bat and have never ever ever gotten out of a friend zone with anyone.
Yay for being able to post! :)
Yay go posters! So girls what is it exactly that brings you into that friend zone if it is not already foreordained? What can we do as guys to avoid that terrrible terrible place?
ok donald so i think even more than girls expecting you to put yourself out there all the way before they even show interest... is the bigger issue of girls likeing boys... but now likeing them. If anyone understands that, then you are probably the world's smartest person!!! seriously i think there is something severly wrong with girls... like their neurons don't fire quite right.
I'll say personally,I think I enter that "friend zone" because I love being around guys. I grew up with two brothers right around me in age, and I can honestly say I was a tom boy. Girls are super hormonal, and honestly I think I have enough hormones myself and I really don't wanna have to deal with the crazy hormones of other girls as well. So I really enjoy being around boys.
Also when I like a guy I hang around him a lot, and if he's not interested (or doesn't realize that I'm interested) he just seems to automatically place me in the "friend zone."
The thing that is really stupid about that zone is that it's practically imposible to get out of. Once placed there, you're pretty much there for keeps.
Guys... take the time to listen to your friends that are girls... you might just realize that they've been interested in you all along, but they act like "one of the guys" because that's the only way they know to spend time with you.
Dianna is right, and also if a girl acts like she's not interested, doesn't mean she's not interested, she just could be playing hard to get and she wants you to think she's not interested...so if you want to ask a girl out, ask her out, because she probably really wants you to.
Why do women play games? It doesn't make any sense. I agree with Donald. Girls, if you want it, flaunt it.
If girls flaunting it means a less amount of homos bringing guitars to each and every social function there is, then I'm all about it. Come on ladies, those flamers make it awkward for everyone!
This is an interesting post Donald. Good to know, but perhaps I am already forward enough? Isn't it a turn off when a guy knows a girl is into him more than he is into her. At least from what I have heard, guys do like the chase after a certain girl. So doesn't this take away all their fun?
That is true Leanne. Guys and girls alike I think do enjoy a good chase. The thing that makes the chase interesting though, for me, is the thought that there might be something more. If a girl isn't responding to any of my advances, it's like hunting a dead animal! Never done it, but don't assume it to be very exhilarating.
